Once a month, I post letters from you, with smart alec replies from me. Don't you feel special? Send your letters to corey_spark@hotmail.com.
Hi,
I'm proud of the synopis of Common Grounds that I just
wrote:
"Corey Kitley's Comic Creation Concerning Caucasians
Cooking Coffee."
I am so CLEVER. Look at me. LOOK AT ME!!!
Jeffrey J. Rowland
Don't worry, Jeffrey, we can't stop looking at you.. it's kinda like a train wreck.
Hate you? Why would we hate you? Frankly, we should've seen that
coming. :-)
Seriously though, a romantic triangle is a time-honored way of
allowing the emotional conflicts that make a strong plot-oriented
comic work. As long as you don't have Erik and Kirby coming to
blows over this - then we WOULD hate you. :-D
Keep up the good work!
You just wait, my friend. ^_^
Heya Corey! First off, I wanted to tell you that Common Grounds is awesome. I
love Erik. ^_^ Hopefully I'll get my own comic up eventually...stupid classes.
Anyway, if you put in an animal, you should make it an anteater. An anteater or
an armadillo. It could help make lattes or do janitorial work. ^_-
Anyway, keep up the great work!
Meg
Hi Meg.
I believe the real issue here is that there is a group of people out there that would drink lattes made by an armadillo.
Well, I first found you through Real Life, and I've got to say, Sit and Spin
is great, but Common Grounds is even better! Also the layout's great! I love
the little beans ^^ Well, that's basically all I wanted to say.
-Stig
Come for the comic. Stay for the little beans.
Hey,
I just wanted to take a second out of my busy life as a Defender Of The Free
World--or more truthfully, as Defender Of Cheap Beer And Lunch--and say that
I really enjoy your comic. It's obvious (at least to me, who can't draw to
save my life) that you put a lot of effort into it, and I think it's just
great. Some days around here are slow, and some are 14 hours long, but
either way, it's nice to have something great to read when you need a break.
(Also, it makes me wish there was a coffee shop of any kind around here--
New Mexico is great for dirt and rocks but not so great on cool places to
hang out.) So anyway, thanks for all your hard work and please do keep
throwing 'em up there. Just to let you know it's appreciated.
As ever,
-Matt
fighting the good fight
Matt,
Maybe you should get your clock repaired? Glad you like the strip. I can't believe there aren't any coffee shops in NM; maybe you should open one!
Hi there!
Just wanted to leave you a little feedback....I love the strip!
And not only do you have a kick-arse comic going, but you even have a
quote from They Might Be Giants leading into your e-mail link! Very
nice indeed. *grins* Anyhoo, just thought I'd send ya some positive
feedback-type-stuff, and I look forward to seeing many more strips to
come! :)
-Dan
Dan,
Hi there. Glad you like the strip. Oh, and you can call me doctor worm. ^_^
Hi Corey,
I just wanted to say that, as a professional barista myself, it's really
cool to get to read a comic that takes place in a coffeeshop. I really
enjoy Common Grounds, and I would enjoy it as much if it were black &
white. Most of my other favorite online comics are in black & white except
on Sundays... PvP... Real Life.... it's no problem!
Jess
The ironic thing is, now Greg has gone colour. MUAHAHAHAA.. they wil ALL come to the dark side. ^_^
